About The Blog

I'm brown, down and disabled. Sometimes it feels like these are the only things that define me. Starting this blog is my way to break out of that, find my voice and myself again. It is also a way to connect with other people in similar situations, as well to advocate for those who might be disabled but not obviously disabled. This i know of all too well. Suffering with a condition called Ehler's Danlos Syndrome is a challenge enough, but with it being an 'invisible' illness, the challenges for us "zebras" automatically increases.

So this is me, embracing my illnesses and being thankful for the better moments.
